It was a huge surprise to figure out that I would have to work on a Drott hot-bulb engine again. That was a '62 model still fitted to a small fishing boat.

Drott engines were tough and do last virtually forever. My great-grandfather had a fishing boat with a Drott engine, the boat hull was chopped with a chainsaw but I still have the engine stored and occasionally start it just to ensure it's in perfect running order.
